The M Group Interiors, Inc. Assignment
Boys Room and adjoining Media Room
Story
The Zoo Tycoon. Gifted with an intellectual curiosity about
the animal kingdom; the young man who will be occupying these rooms, perhaps an
aspiring zoologist, displays an interest in exploring the natural world around
us and its inhabitants.
How Told
By using shades of greens, earth-tones, stronger accent colors along with textures
that tell a story and objects that are found in nature. Deep colors such as Brown
Stone, Spinach and Paprika are contrasted with the lights and brights of Yellow
Ground, Bark, Limestone and Moss. The texture of a Kravet fabric used on bedding
and sofa reminds one of the finely textured bark of a sycamore tree.
Custom wood furniture, designed by Marty Cohen of The M Group
Interiors and custom crafted by The Robert Bergelin Co.; is featured. Many of the solid cherry pieces are multi-functional.
A small ottoman has a reversible top converting it into a coffee table. This top
is also removable and can be used as a lap tray. The larger nightstand can be converted
into a file cabinet. When
two of these are used along with a desktop, a modular home office is created.
Bedroom Fabrics for bedding, drapery and upholstery exclusively by Kravet. Hair-hides
and leather by Zagarolli Classics. Media Room custom upholstery and drapery fabrics
by Brunschwig & Fils.
Custom bedding ensemble and accent pillows
designed by Marty Cohen of The M Group Interiors and crafted by Jennifer Stodghill.
Baobob Tree lamps by Hart Associates, wood lamps and lions foot bronze table
by Baker.
